Chicago Puts On Her Finest

Yesterday was a gorgeous, gorgeous Fall day here in Chicago so after my appointments I went walking. I rambled all over Grant Park and Millennium Park, then down to Monroe Harbor, snapping pictures and just relaxing. My city put on a show and I simply had to share the beauty. The colors were so unbelievably vibrant and the sky was so breathtaking it almost brought tears to my eyes. Enjoy!

I wish I could have posted them all, but here is the link to my Photobucket album so you can see the rest.

  1. Fall weather is just the greatest. I thought no urban panorama could rival the northeast this time of the year, but I'm sorely mistaken. Such beautiful scenery you have provided. The photography is also equally astonishing.

    Thanks for sharing :)

    1. Why thank you, Matt. I'm finally getting some use out of the camera I got for Christmas last year. I'm happy you liked my photography. I'm still getting used to having a camera. :)

I agree, Fall weather is the best and not just because it's football LOL.

  2. Those are some great photos, Melissa. Good eye! Colors are just starting to appear here. Hopefully we see some before all the leaves fall off. Yes, we've gone from green to brown to gone in a week.
And wasn't last night's game wild? Each team only played a half. Denver just played a better half.

  4. I love trees that turn that color red. We have more than a few around here but I always seem to miss my window of opportunity to capture it on film.

    Gorgeous pics.

    1. Red is my favorite color for leaves, though the gold looks gorgeous too. I never even used to think about taking pictures before I got my camera last Christmas. I'm still getting used to having one. :) I used to be disposable only for vacations, etc.

    1. Hi Kathy! Thank you so much. That means a lot coming from someone whose photos I love. :) The boats were some of my favorites well. Monroe Harbor is gorgeous. We also have Montrose to the north of there and Jackson to the south along Lake Shore Drive. It makes for a beautiful trip going both ways.
