It's Crazy, I Tell You

It's amazing how you're rolling along , then blammo! Out of nowhere everything changes. Yeah, so my life has just been on whirlwind of crazy lately and I have not been getting around the blogosphere or posting like I want. Thank you all for still coming around, leaving comments and just being awesome supporters. I promise I will be back up and running like normal in the very near future.

So just what the heck has been going on? Well, I need to pay bills and I take the occasional temp assignment to help out. This last one well, I have no computer access at all, I'm just buried in a file room for 8 hours a day. I leave my house 7AM and don't return til 7PM so I'm pretty brain dead and wiped out. I don't even know what day it is sometimes. LOL

Then, this past weekend I had to have emergency dental surgery because of a highly infected tooth. Apparently it had been very sly in developing because I didn't have any real pain until Friday when wham! All of a sudden I looked like a human pufferfish. They could not save it and the infection was so bad that I am now on massive doses of antibiotics. The good news is my face no longer looks like I have a pillow in my mouth.

I have some awesome fiction reviews coming up, authors you need to check out asap, plus I have some rants, odds n ends and more movies that I hated and regret sincerely paying to see. Hope you all have a great day!

  2. Hope they are at least paying you enough at that 7 to 7 job :(

My dentist is one of my good friends so I'm not afraid of dentists as most people are, but I do know how dental surgeries are horrible, because everything is happening in your mouth :(

Can't wait to read some of your new reviews on movies you hated :)

  3. Glad to see you back, Mel. I missed you, and your posts. Glad to hear your getting better... this jaw infection sounds like a nightmare. Can't wait to read your latest reviews! Oh, and if you wonder, today is Wednesday, June 15. LOL. :) Excuse my sarcasm, it's so bad when your head is messed up like that.

  5. Hi Melissa, dang. I bet that tooth infection was dragging you down more than you knew. Glad that is taking care of. Your temp job sounds like it really sucks! I've been helping out my husband and work, and it doesn't suck, but it does take up time ... I'm lucky though, cuz I get up early and blog and work on writing projects for 3 or 4 hours before I need to go in. I cannot imagine having 12 hours of my day, mostly in a back room, working away. You are a good girl do plug away at that one.

Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello ... can't wait to see your upcoming stuff! I'll be away from the computer for a few days, but I'll check back when we get home.

    Hugs,

    Kathy M.

  7. Tooth whammy's are like little gremlins on crack dancing to hip hop inside your mouth. I am also convinced that the dentists get a paycheck from the devil itself. Hope you can come up for air soon and play

  8. Sorry to hear about your tooth problem. My mother just suffered from one her own agonizing tooth ache this past weekend. I sympathize with you. Tooth problems can be the most brutal sources of pain.

I'll be looking forward to more of your regularly awesome content. I especially enjoy your rants.

Don't overload yourself with too much responsibility. Kick back a little and enjoy the summer months!

  10. Sometimes that tricky little thing called life gets in the way. It happens. We writer bloggers tend to leave the porchlight on for those who have to go "out of town" for a while.
