If you are not 18, please exit stage left. While there is normally nothing naughty here, I do write and review erotica so there are links to spicy stuff and the occasional heated excerpt.

I'm Doomed!
The Big A to Z Challenge starts this Sunday and I can't get my Schedule Post to work. I follow all the little steps and nothing. I have to get this problem fixed because I am moving on the 14th, right smack in the middle of the Challenge. And you will also have to forgive me as I won't be commenting during that week too much with packing stuff and other coordinating efforts.
I hate when I am stressed and I am getting there. This schedule post problem is yet another step toward utter madness. By Move Day, I am going to be a raving lunatic, sitting in a corner, pulling my hair and rocking back and forth. Either that, or I'll be yelling as I run through the streets with the cops in hot pursuit.
That sound you hear now is my head smacking against my desk.
I'm Doomed.

You're not doomed! If something goes wrong, we already know what's happening and know you will return.
ReplyDeleteHave you upgraded your blog to the new interface? Maybe that is causing the problem.
The last day you have access to your computer, make sure there is a notice in your post in case those posts don't happen.
Don't panic - it will be all right!
Have you managed to schedule posts before, or is this an on-going problem?
ReplyDeleteOh, Melissa, I hate to see you in torture. This is only a minor setback. Relax, take ten deep breaths and chill out with five margaritas. Put up a post saying the computer gods are evil and working against you and that once you find a virgin to sacrifice all will be well. After all those drinks, you won't care what happens.:)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Alex's suggestion is great. Go for it.
and don't forget that as of Sunday Blogger is moving us all to the new layout and who knows what hell will that unleash :) Sweet sister, we are sooo doomed :)
ReplyDeletesit in the corner and rant off the letters... you are a trooper. it will all start to flow, you are a genius when it come to words...

ReplyDeleteRead the A to Z Blog post for today. As I remind participants there, if something comes up it will help if you note it in the most recent post so visitors to your site will know what's going on with your blog.

Oh no! I hope it doesn't happen to me! I've only done up to 10 April and I'm going on vacation soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a schedule post? I just start a new post and change the date under Post Options at the bottom. Is that what you're referring to?
I hope they fix it soon!
Take a deep breath... you can do it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be okay, Melissa. I am not using that, but I have my posts outlined and nearly done, except for the little story that I am writing each day. Even from your cell phone you should probably be able to manually publish your posts on the day of.
DeleteBest of luck on your move; I know that you will be super happy when you get settled in. Hugs!

Hopefully they'll fix it soon. Take a deep breath. Save the posts in word files on your computer. Good luck with your move!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the move, and hopefully everything will calm soon - don't worry if you have to post a little off - remember you can "edit" the post date and time if you need to ;)
ReplyDeleteDrink more wine. Pop bubble wrap. Eat chocolate. Grope a moving man. All will be okay.
ReplyDeleteDon't panic! Take a deep breath and count to ten. Believe me, it'll all be ok.
ReplyDeleteAnd now read the comments from Alex and Craig again :)
Mel, you are going to absolutely rock the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge. I have the utmost faith in you. And just think of the grand coda: At the end of the challenge, you will be living comfortably in a new abode :)
