Thank to all of you out there who stopped by during my double book post on Wednesday with the IWSG and the Resurrection Blogfest. Your comments and thoughts meant the world to me and I was so happy that my fave horror author post finally got some love. Thank you from the very bottom, sub-atomic level of my heart, I love you all so much. I am definitely feeling a lot more optimistic today.
In book news, the awesomely cool Michael Offutt has released the second book of his series A Crisis of Two Worlds, Oculus. It is available now, so please check it out here.
There's also some hugely exciting news for writers out there. Pillars of our community Stephen Tremp, MPax, C.M. Brown and Christine Rains are launching Writers4Writers aka W4WS. It is an uber cool way to help our community get the word out about our books and stories. Click here for more details and how to participate. Thank you guys, you four rock so much!
Now while battling this depression I have been in dire need of a good laugh. This show never fails to to make me laugh, so here's two of my favorite clips from The Big Bang Theory. The first is Amy's tiara, the second, Penny gets Sheldon a Christmas gift. Enjoy!
My friend Elsie is writing her first book and this group would be a good one for her to get involved in. I must tell her about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's the dynamic between Sheldon and Penny that makes this program brilliantly funny. She's perceived as "less than intelligent" but somehow she manages to confuse and challenge Sheldon who is a genius. Great cast and great writing. Thanks for the fun start to my day!
Hi Anne! Yes, I think this would be perfect for Elsie. :)
DeletePenny and Sheldon really are two of the best characters. Oh my gosh do I love them! I'm so glad you enjoyed these clips. They still make me laugh.
Congratulations to Micheal and that show is always good for a laugh.
ReplyDeleteAnd Wrtiers4Wrters couldn't have picked a better author t begin with - Nancy Thompsob!
Nancy is the perfect choice to kick things for W4WS. And yay for Michael! That is awesome news.
DeleteCongrats to Michael on his new book.
ReplyDeleteThat is great news for Michael. I can't wait to read his story and I love the cover.
DeleteThank you, Dezmond.
DeleteCreepy but cool cover for Oculus.
ReplyDeleteAnd keep the comedies coming. Laughter is a great cure for what ails. :))
Love that cover!
DeleteTBBT is the perfect remedy for what ails. I think I'm going to go look up more of my favorite clips.
Oh!!!! It's a tiara!!!! (Thanks for the funny videos!!)
ReplyDeletePrecious Monsters

Deleteheeheheeeheheeee! i love tbbt! i haven't seen them all, but they do! they ALWAYS make you laugh! :D congrats to mr. michael!
ReplyDeleteTBBT is definitely one of my all time favorite sitcoms. I can never get enough. And to think I didn't start watching until last year. Better late than never. :)
DeleteTBBT is mu mom's favorite TV show. She laughs so hard while she's watching it, it's infectious. :) The show is hilarious indeed.
ReplyDeleteLaughter is infectious and TBBT is one fave your mom and I have in common. Tell her hello from another huge fan. :) It's GREAT to see you back. I have missed your presence around here, hon.
DeleteThese are funny, thanks for the great laugh...No better medicine! I have a little award for you on my blog, just be careful with that suger :)
ReplyDeleteHi Siv! So glad you enjoyed the laugh. TBBT is one of my favorite shows.
DeleteAnd thank you so much!! You are too sweet. :)
Congratulations to Michael - that IS a striking cover! I love The Big Bang Theory, though I didn't start watching until like season 3 or 4.
ReplyDeleteI love that cover, too. :) I didn't start watching TBBT until last year LOL. Think I was living in alternate dimension or something.
DeleteI love Big Bang. For more laughs you should watch Star Crash. I laughed through the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteYay for Michael!
Yay for Michael indeed. :)
DeleteI will most definitely check out Star Crash, I can always use more laughs. Thank you!
Hi Melissa, coming in late (as is usual these days - where does the time go?) :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up on the W4W group - I've liked their facebook page and hope to participate there.
So sorry to hear you've been suffering depression lately - no wonder you've been quiet on Twitter - we missed you! No I know why you liked my last blog post...!! :)
Sending a (((HUG))) and hope the coming months are happy, cheery ones!
Aww... thank you so much Judy. Hug accepted big time as are the warm wishes. That means the world to me. :)
DeleteW4WS is terrific and I am looking forward to participating.
And no worries on the late, I'm happy you stopped by, my friend.
I don't have a TV, but my ex had one. Watched a couple of Big Bang episodes with her - totally agree with you, they all were a super laugh riot. Loved Sheldon and the hilarious guy from India :)
ReplyDeleteKhuthrapali (I think that's how you spell it LOL) is really a great character. He's the perfect balance to the other three.
DeleteMelissa, thank you for showing my cover on your blog. Did you catch American Horror Story this week? Oh...I feel so bad for the nymphomaniac. I hope your depression alleviates soon.
ReplyDeleteOn good comedies for the soul, I too love Big Bang Theory. Another show that I watch is Modern Family. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. The show leaves me laughing and I love Phil Dumfy.
Anytime! I hope it garners huge successes for you. :) I did finally catch AHS. I feel so bad for Chloe's character. What gruesome torture. Man , Cromwell does evil very well.
DeleteLOVE MF! They kill me every week.
Thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot to me.
That show always makes me laugh. Thanks for the info about Michael Offutt's latest book and W4W.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! BBT is so hilarious. I can't get enough of it. And I'm glad you're excited for Michael's book and W4W. I am too. :)
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your depression. :(
ReplyDeleteIf you need more shows to watch I'd recommend BBC's Sherlock and Community. Both really good shows.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing Sherlock with me. I am really in need of as much laughter as possible. :)
DeleteI am hearing do many great things about this group. I must check it out.
