Remember way back in September when I announced that we got a puppy? Well, I have been remiss in putting up some pics of her. So to kick off the week on a good note, here is my cutesy little gal with 'tude, Vegas. As you can see, she's all decked out for Christmas and she has a red and green eye because I can't figure out my camera. LOL Seriously, though, she has one blue eye and one brown. A crazy adorable combo.
And she really loved getting this get up on, too. As seen by her reaction in this pic. She hates getting dressed up as much as I do.
Vegas is a shi tzu and she's about 6 months old. This will be her first Christmas with us and of course, she will spoiled rotten, LOL.
Now, to make up for my lack of You Should Know Friday, I am going to spotlight someone I think you should know today. I want to share with you someone who is smart, cool and just a terrific blogger/friend. Kimberly at Meetings with My Muse is an awesome blogger who supports writers and is an amazing writer herself. She talks about things like how you go about plotting, the passion of writing, books she's reading and all manner of things in between. Her style is engaging and charming, there is no doubt in my mind that you will love her like I do.
THAT. Is one ridiculously adorable canine. I want to squeeze it until it explodes. Or something less violent. I love the "Fuck you and your dress up" face. Christmas spirit win!
ReplyDelete@M LMAO Can you tell she'd be flipping me the bird if she could make her toes work like that? And you know, I wanted to squeeze her til she exploded when I first saw her, too. It was like the Abominable Snowman with Bugs Bunny.
ReplyDeleteHave yet to meet a pet that isn't spoiled rotten honestly. :P
ReplyDeleteAww, that is one cute puppy!!! Plus I love the name, Vegas : ) My dog hates getting dressed up too, haha, why can't he just wear the hot dog suit on Halloween!! haha!
ReplyDeleteVegas has to be one of the most adorable puppies I've ever seen. Seriously, just look at her! :) She's so cute, I want to squeeze her.
ReplyDeleteLOL.
ooh, poor puppy, what did you do to her :))) But revenge is sweet and a poop you might find in your Christmas stocking even sweeter (for Vegas, not for you) LOL
ReplyDeleteMy dog would rip those hair bows out in a second. Cute, though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for our kind words on Alex's blog. You are the best. :)
Vegas is saying, "I'd better get special doggie treats in my stocking for dressing me up like this."
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, Vegas is a doll ... you could make a Christmas card out of either picture!
ReplyDeleteI like the new look of your blog, and didn't realize that you have published so many books. I'm going to have to get busy on reading them soon.
Hope things are going better, and that you have a great week.
Kathy M.
Is that dog smiling?
ReplyDeleteOMG, she's so cute!!! She's more dolled-up than I am! LOL
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is absolutely adorable! I look forward to visiting your friend Kimberly. BTW, I wrote about you on my blog today...
ReplyDeleteShe's a delight. The red-green eye thing looks perfectly planned. She's the idyllic Christmas canine.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Melissa.
xoRobyn
@Dwei Yeah, pets tend to get spoiled. Vegas takes advantage, big time. LOL
ReplyDelete@Nicole. LOL I know! Why can't they just sit still for that buckle on hot dog bun? Vegas so did not want to wear hers, either.
ReplyDelete@Nebular Aww.. thanks! You know I just want to hug and squeeze her all the time, too. Good thing she's very affectionate, too. :)
ReplyDelete@Dez LOL Blame the groomer, though. The woman insisted. Vegas will have her revenge. ;) All doggie outfits are gone now and she's happy. :)
ReplyDelete@Ciara Vegas was out of this outfit not long after the pics were taken. She did not appreciate the groomers efforts. LOL
ReplyDeleteAww...you are so welcome. :) I am in awe of efforts. The trailer was terrific and I hope this book brings you tons of success.
@Stephen LOL You know she's going to get a nice big box of Milk Bones and an extra toy. She was so good for the groomer, who tortured her with this. I simply took advantage with my camera. ;)
ReplyDelete@Oregon Thanks, Kathy! This is totally going in the cards. And thank you for the comments on the blog. The new colors make me think of the ocean. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your support means so much to me. Thank you very much. :)
@Alex What a gruesome grin, huh? She hated being tormented by the groomer with the girly bows. ;)
ReplyDelete@Jennifer Thank you! Vegas is more glam than me, too. She of course had everything off within seconds of these pictures.
ReplyDelete@Empty Nest Aww.. thank you so much for the shout out. You are ultra cool, my friend. :) You'll love Kimberly's blog. She's a terrific writer.
ReplyDelete@Robyn I like that "the idyllic Christmas canine." You know I couldn't believe the red green thing when I first saw it. It was like providence or something. :)
ReplyDeleteBe well, too, my friend. Here's to a rockin 2012 for us.
What a sweet puppy, such a cute face!
ReplyDeleteI will have to stop by and visit Kimberly...lovely idea! :D
What a cutie! I don't know who's luckier: the dog, who will undoubtedly be the recipient of endless adoration, deservedly so, or you, who gets to nurture such a beautiful being?
ReplyDeleteCute post and great Christmas spirit :)
@Ella Aww thanks! Every time I look at Vegas I just want to squeeze that little face.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely check out Kimberly, she has a really awesome blog.
@Matt What a cool thing to say! I am lucky to have this gorgeous little dog in my life. Especially now with all the crap going on. :)
