If you are not 18, please exit stage left. While there is normally nothing naughty here, I do write and review erotica so there are links to spicy stuff and the occasional heated excerpt.

Thank you!!!

I need to really thank all of you for your comments and support over the last couple of days. Things have really come crashing down around here and it helped tremendously to have your wonderful words to read. It is so true when it rains, it pours. To add the cherry on top of my shit sundae, I now have to look for a new place to live. So this means my blogging and comments might get a little scarce. Nothing like unemployment, health scares and no place to live to just make the holidays a happy time. And right before my birthday, too. That's just WRONG. But, as my sister said, in the flood of life, sometimes you just have to decide to float. So, Imaginarians, that is what I am going to do. Float. Hopefully there will be good news to report.

In the mean time, let me finish on high note. The Lovely Blog Award given to me by the amazing Annalisa will be given to these great blogs I just love. They are all very cool people who are a joy to read.

Julie @ Gypsy in My Soul
Eve @ Clueless Eve
Melissa @ Have You Heard
Julie @Empty Nest Insider
Judy @ Judy Croome: Author on the Prowl

Kathy @ Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy
Sangu @ Echoes of a Wayward Mind
Arlee Bird @ Wrote By Rote
L.G. @ Bards and Prophets

Go visit these blogs. They are awesome people you should know. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, my friends. Hugs!

  1. OMG, a new place to live? Hell, what happened with your granny's house?

There is only one way of looking positive on situations like this one - when it rains and pours and storms: use it as a positive turning point in your life! Change everything, do everything you wanted but didn't have guts to, but now you have to do it.
I have a feeling my next year will be like that... so I'm preparing myself too ....

  2. Crap, what happened? Before your birthday is just wrong.
It's always darkest before the dawn. Yeah, I know - that sucks, doesn't it?

  3. Oh man, that's tough, but with your spunk, I know you'll get through it. I like what Dezmond said, now is the time to try new things. I like what Alex said too, it is always darkest before the dawn. Better things are coming!

  5. That is just way too much on your plate, lady. I wish you the strength to do it all, and to stay positive during these tough times. Put your sh*t kickers on and give 'em hell. I have no doubt you'll be back where you want to be soon.

And thank you so much for the award--so incredibly sweet of you to think of me. I'm very flattered, since your blog has become one of my go-tos for all things lit and TV--your taste seems to really jive with mine. Great minds think alike, right?

Take care of you--especially your health!

  7. Oh, crap. That is some disturbing news. But there's gotta be an opportunity out there waiting. I'm the eternal optimist.

And thanks for the award. It's...lovely. :P

  8. Oh, Melissa, I'm so sorry. I used to think about making a t-shirt that read: I AM NOT A SHIT-MAGNENT! Becuase I had times in my life where I felt as if I was. I hope that things get better soon and that you find a nice place to live.

I read this post last night, but was on my phone and decided to come back today and to say thank you very much for awarding me! That is so sweet of you. I'll get on the ball and pass it forward.

Praying for you and hoping that you will have a wonderful week in spite of your worries.

    Hugs,

    Kathy M.

  9. I'm so sorry that you're going through all this. The fact that in the midst of a crisis, you're still passing on awards to cheer on others, just shows what a good person you are. Thanks so much for the award, and I have every confidence that things will start looking up for you soon. In the meantime, please take care of yourself, and I wish you all the best. Julie

  12. Thank you for the award. I received this one already, but I do appreciate you thinking of me. I have been dealing with quite a lot myself. My husband suffered a heart attack just after Thanksgiving and I have been away from reading blogs and writing. He is recovering well and I have much to catch up on. I hope your life has calmed as well. Thank you again and I wish you a very happy, healthy and productive 2012
